The Physician Executive Leadership and Coaching Collective exists to bridge the gap between medical expertise and executive leadership in healthcare. It recognizes the unique challenges faced by physician leaders and aims to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the complex landscape of healthcare leadership effectively.

Physicians often find themselves in leadership roles, requiring a skill set that extends beyond clinical expertise. By empowering physicians with executive leadership skills, the institute contributes to a more efficient and effective physician executive. Physician leaders experience in this program will be better equipped to make informed decisions, lead multidisciplinary teams, and influence change that improves their leadership experience and the experience of those they lead.

The core purpose of the Physician Executive Leadership and Coaching Collective is to foster a new generation of physician leaders who are adept not only in their medical field but also in leading healthcare organizations towards excellence. It aims to enhance the quality of healthcare delivery by integrating clinical expertise with strategic leadership, ultimately benefiting patients, healthcare teams, and the broader healthcare system.

Who is this for?

Physician leaders who value self-discovery, being challenged, and intense personal growth. Willing to engage with a community of physician executives seeking to reach their full leadership potential and effectiveness.


Physicians working in executive roles within their organization at the C-suite, VP, Partner or Owner level where the application of leadership skills is essential to the success of the organization. The diversity of leadership tenure and settings enhances the power of the individual and the group learning, development, and growth.


Physician executives who are seeking the opportunity to synergistically enhance and augment traditional leadership development with individualized, expert coaching. This combination sets SoundMind Leadership participants apart from any other available program in accelerating leadership growth and performance.

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR 2024

The application deadline is June 2024

    • Individual Coaching – Twelve (12) months of personalized, individual 1:1 coaching sessions with an experienced certified professional executive coach

    • Face-to-Face Symposiums – Four (4) comprehensive in-person symposiums facilitated by leading experts

    • Mentoring – a safe, engaging, and intimate community wherein you will provide and receive mentoring

    • Alumni Community – the opportunity to engage with an alumni community following your experience 

    • Leadership Assessment - each participant will participate in the state-of-the-art 360 leadership assessment tool, the Leadership Circle Profile

    • Books and Materials - all books and related materials will be provided

  • The Executive Leadership Institute will cater to a diverse group of executives keen on elevating their leadership effectiveness, both in self-leadership and in guiding others. Attendees will include those seeking a supportive community of peers to collaborate with and learn from, fostering a network of mutual growth. Moreover, it will welcome executives eager for challenging experiences that push their boundaries, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones and achieve new heights in their leadership journey.

  • SoundMind Leadership is creating a community for executives to support them in life’s journey both professionally and personally. Twelve (12) participants will be accepted into the cohort. Applications are reviewed with consideration for the following:

    • Demonstrated leadership in an executive role

    • Strong character and integrity

    • Passion for improvement

    • Desire for inclusion in a community of executive women

    • Willingness to be open, vulnerable, and compassionate with self and others

    • A commitment to participate and be involved
